For Real (FR) is Pamojah's identity check. A reviewer at Pamojah checks the account or page against public records or documents. Nothing is decided by an algorithm.

Originator and Street Cred are different. They are about content: whether a post started with that creator, and how the community voted on that claim. An account can have FR without any Originator claim. A Validated Originator claim can belong to an account without FR.

Steps

  1. Tap the FR mark next to a name.
  2. A sheet titled For Real opens. It shows the category, the date the identity was confirmed, and the date the check expires.
  3. Tap View in the public registry to see the same account or page in the registry. If that account or page is hidden at the moment, the registry says it is not listed right now.

Good to know

  • The categories are Nonprofit, Business, Political and Individual. Only Political is written on the mark itself, which then reads FR ยท Political. For the others, you see the category when you tap the mark and in the registry.
  • A personal account can hold an Individual or Political mark. A page can hold a Nonprofit, Business or Political mark. A business or nonprofit is checked on its page, not on the owner's personal account.
  • On a post made as a page, the mark belongs to the page, not to the person who posted it.
  • In the registry, and on the For Real sheet itself, the mark is not tappable. The row or sheet already shows the same details.
  • The mark sits in the name row. You see it on feed videos and the post screen, on profiles and pages, next to comments, in Messages, and on Drops. It is not shown on Currents chart rows or in the Activity list.
  • Every check expires and has to be renewed, so a mark you see is a recent check. See When For Real expires.
  • FR is free. It is not for sale. See Applying for For Real.
  • Anyone can look up who holds a mark. See The public FR registry.
  • With VoiceOver on, the mark reads as "For Real: identity confirmed by Pamojah". A Political mark reads as "For Real: political identity confirmed by Pamojah".
