Apply from Settings > Account > For Real identity verification. Choose a category, enter the evidence Pamojah should check, and submit. A person at Pamojah reviews it, and it is free.
Steps
Open Settings > Account > For Real identity verification.
Find the card for your account, or for a page you run under "Page you administer". Tap Apply.
Under "What kind of identity", choose the category. A personal account can choose Individual or Political. A page can choose Nonprofit, Business or Political.
Enter the evidence. For Political, first choose the Evidence type: FEC committee ID or State filing number. The list below says what each category needs.
If you are applying as an Individual, add a public reference. This is an official website, a press page, or another public source that ties the name to you.
Add notes if something would help a reviewer find the record. Notes are optional.
Tap Submit for review.
What to enter as evidence
Nonprofit: your EIN or charity registration number.
Business: your registration or incorporation number.
Political: an FEC committee ID (the letter C followed by eight digits) or your Secretary of State filing number. Pamojah checks the filing, not the politics.
Individual: the document type and its last digits, for example "Passport, ends 4821". Do not type the full document number. Nobody will ask you to send the document.
Good to know
FR is free. There is no paid option.
A person reviews every application against the public record. Nothing is decided by an algorithm.
While it is pending, the card reads "Application pending review". You cannot submit another application for that account or page until it is decided.
You can tap Withdraw application at any time before it is decided, then tap Withdraw to confirm. You can apply again later.
If it is approved, the card reads "Identity confirmed" with the category and two dates. The FR mark then appears next to the name of that account or page. See When For Real expires.
If it is not approved, the card reads "Not approved" with the reviewer's note. Tap Re-apply to try again.
What you enter is never published. Pamojah's reviewers see it, and so can the other admins of a page you apply for. The public registry lists the kind of evidence that was checked, not the number itself, your notes, or who reviewed it.
Any admin of a page can apply for that page.
While your account is paused, you cannot apply. The card says so and points to the banner at the top of the app.
