Steps

  1. Open the Profile tab (the person icon at the bottom right), tap the three-dot menu at the top right, then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Your Pages, then tap Create a Page.
  3. Type a handle. The app checks it as you type and tells you whether it is available.
  4. Type the page name and choose a category: Business, Nonprofit, Political or Creator Brand.
  5. Add a bio and a website if you want to. The website goes in the field that starts with https://. Both are optional.
  6. Tap Create. It stays greyed out until the handle passes the checks and the page name is filled in.
  7. To add a photo, open the page from Your Pages, tap Edit page, then tap Change page photo. The photo is saved as soon as you choose it. You do not need to tap Save.

Good to know

  • The handle is permanent. It cannot be changed after you create the page, so check the spelling before you tap Create.
  • A handle is 3 to 30 characters, using lowercase letters, numbers and underscores. It has to start and end with a letter or a number, and it needs at least one letter. Capital letters change to lowercase as you type.
  • A handle that a person or another page already uses shows as taken. A few handles are reserved and cannot be used.
  • The page name, category, bio, website and photo can be changed later from Edit page. The bio can be up to 150 characters.
  • The person who creates a page is its owner. An owner can add other people to help run it. See Page admins.
  • A page is not a second account. It has no password, and you post as it from your own account. See Posting as a page.
  • Deleting a page isn't available yet.
  • A page can apply for the blue FR mark from Settings > Account > For Real identity verification. See Applying for For Real.
