Steps

  1. Open Currents (the wave icon in the bottom bar) and tap Pulse at the top right. Pulse Clips takes the place of the charts. Or tap the flame button on the right side of a video in your feed. That opens Pulse Clips full screen, with an X to close it.
  2. Pick a filter chip: All, one chart (Hot 100, Top 200, Global 200, New & Upcoming or Brand 50), Trending Polls or Trending Questions.
  3. Pick a category chip below if you want one. All shows every category.
  4. Tap a card to play it. Tap the X to go back to the grid.

What a card shows

  • Under All or a chart filter, a card shows the thumbnail, the creator's @handle, the caption and a flame badge with a percentage. The percentage is the size of the move compared with the number of places on that chart.
  • A Trending Polls card shows the poll question, the creator's @handle and a count of recent votes. A Trending Questions card shows the prompt, the @handle and a count of recent answers.

Good to know

  • In Currents, tap Pulse again to return to the charts.
  • A post appears on Pulse when its chart position has changed since the last update. Small moves are left out. Posts with exactly the same score keep their order between updates, so a post does not show up on Pulse just because it shares its score with others.
  • If Pamojah removes a post, it is gone from Pulse the next time Pulse loads.
  • Charts update on a schedule, not the moment something happens. A move can take a while to reach Pulse. While Pulse is open, a chart card can update on its own when a post's position changes. Trending Polls and Trending Questions cards update when you pull to refresh.
  • In your feed, the flame button is a dim outline. It turns pink, with a flame badge, when the post you are watching is among the biggest moves on Pulse. A rank badge also appears at the bottom left of the video.
  • Trending Polls and Trending Questions rank by the votes and answers arriving right now, not by lifetime totals.
  • The Pulse player shows the video, the creator's @handle and the caption. A poll or question also shows its prompt and count. You cannot vote or answer from the Pulse player.
  • Pulse follows your Content Filters, like Currents. Change them in Settings > Content Preferences > Content Filters.
  • Ripples do not appear on Pulse. See Ripples.
  • No Movement Yet means no post that matches your filters has moved enough since the last update. The trending filters show No Trending Polls Yet or No Trending Questions Yet instead.
