Pamojah shows a shorter version of this inside the app. It appears once, right after you sign up. To read it again, open your profile, tap the three dots, then Settings > About > How Pamojah Works. The info button at the top of the Currents tab opens it too.

Originator

When you post something you started, you can claim credit for it as its Originator. The community votes to validate the claim, not an algorithm, and a validated claim is marked publicly.

Street Cred

Street Cred is the community's up or down vote on a post. Those votes decide whether an Originator claim becomes Validated, and they affect how a post ranks on the charts. A claim starts as Provisional and becomes Validated once enough people have voted and the net Cred is strongly positive.

Currents

Currents is where culture is flowing this month: the Hot 100, the Global 200 and more. Every rank is explainable. Tap any post on a chart to see the signals behind its position. The charts reset every month. See Currents and the charts and Monthly resets.

Pulse

Pulse is the heartbeat: the posts that have just moved the most on the charts, plus the polls and questions getting the most votes and answers right now. It is how you catch something before it is already huge. Tap Pulse at the top right of the Currents tab to open it. See Pulse.

Drops

A Drop is a marker you leave at a real place, with a short note, a video, both or neither. A Public Drop shows that spot to anyone on Pamojah, even people who do not follow you. Pick the place with care.

Good to know

  • Ripples are casual posts that disappear after 24 hours. They do not count toward Originator, Street Cred, Pulse or Currents. See Ripples.
  • Exact signal weights are not published. They can change to keep rankings fair.
  • Charts update on a schedule, not the moment something happens, so a change can take a while to show.
  • The blue FR mark is a different thing. It confirms who is behind an account or page, not who started a piece of content. See What the blue FR mark means.
  • In the tab bar, Currents is the wave icon and Street Cred is the star icon.
