On the Log In screen, enter your email or username and your password. "Invalid credentials" means one of them is wrong. If you forgot your password, tap "Forgot password?" and Pamojah emails you a code to choose a new one.
Steps
Logging in
The first field takes your email or username. The Log In button is disabled until both fields are filled in.
If Pamojah says "Invalid credentials", the email, username or password is wrong. Pamojah does not say which. Check for a typo and try again. Capital letters matter, so type your email or username exactly as you did when you signed up. The same message appears for a permanently deleted account. If you forgot your password, follow the steps under Resetting a forgotten password.
If Pamojah says "Too many requests", you have tried too many times too quickly. Wait a little and try again.
If Pamojah sent you back to the Log In screen, log in again. If a screen says "Your session has expired. Please log in again." while you are still in the app, open Settings, tap Log Out, then log in again. This happens when a session is revoked from Settings > Account > Security on another phone. Changing or resetting your password on another phone does the same. It also happens some time after you logged in on this phone, even if you use the app every day.
If a banner at the top says "Your account is paused", you are logged in but the account is still paused. Tap Reactivate on the banner. See Pausing your account.
If you asked to delete your account, logging in before the date restores it. Pamojah shows "Welcome back" with "Signing in cancelled the deletion of your account. Everything has been restored." After that date it is gone for good. See Deleting your account.
To create an account instead, tap Sign Up below Forgot password? on the Log In screen. Pamojah is in closed beta, and the form says whether you need an invite code. See Joining with an invite code.
Resetting a forgotten password
On the Log In screen, tap Forgot password? under the Log In button.
Enter the email address on your account and tap Send Code. A username does not work here. If you typed your email on the Log In screen, it is already filled in.
Pamojah says "If an account exists for that email, we sent a code. Check your inbox." It says this whether or not the email has an account.
Open the email with the subject "Your Pamojah password reset code". Type the code into 6-digit code.
Type a new password twice, then tap Reset Password. It needs at least 8 characters. Pamojah then logs you in with the new password.
Good to know
The code expires soon, and only the newest code works. If Pamojah says "That code isn't valid or has expired. Request a new one.", tap Send a new code. Use the code in the newest email.
If no email arrives, check your spam folder. If you ask for a new code more than a few times, Pamojah stops sending them for a while. The screen still says it sent one. If Pamojah says "Too many requests", wait a little and try again.
If Pamojah says "Your password was reset. Sign in with your new password.", tap Back to Log In. Log in with the new password, typing your email exactly as you signed up with it.
After a reset, every other phone that was logged in to your account soon has to log in again.
To change a password you know, go to Settings > Account > Security and tap Change Password. Enter your current password and the new one twice, then tap Change Password at the bottom. This signs out every other device. This phone stays logged in.
A suspended account can still log in and browse. When you try to post, Pamojah shows "Your account is suspended until" followed by the date. The same notice says "You can still browse Pamojah while it is in place."
Settings > Account > Security lists the devices logged in to your account under Active Sessions. Revoke signs that device out. Login Activity shows your recent logins.
Log Out is near the bottom of Settings. It logs out this phone only.
Invite codes are for signing up, not logging in, and only when the form says so.
